Kejriwal wishes Kiran Bedi best wishes over her appointment as Lt. Governor of Puducherry

New Delhi, May 22 (IBNS) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal wished former top cop and BJP leader Kiran Bedi after she was appointed as the new Lt. Governor of Puducherry on Sunday.

Kejriwal tweeted: "My best wishes to Kiran Didi for this new role."

Starting a new innings in her career, former top cop Kiran Bedi was appointed as the Lt. Governor of Puducherry.

"The President of India has been pleased to appoint Ms. Kiran Bedi, to be the Lt. Governor of Puducherry with effect from the date she assumes charges of her office," read an official statement.

Reacting on the matter, Bedi tweeted: "This belongs to all who reposed their trust in me, taught me, groomed me, educated me, found time for me. Thank you."

Bedi entered the arena of politics few years ago.

She was the BJP's CM candidate during the Delhi polls.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his AAP won the polls to come to power for the second term.
