Kejriwal arrives at Ramlila grounds to take oath as Delhi CM

New Delhi, Feb 14 (IBNS): Aam Admi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has reached the Ramlila Maidan a shortly before noon to take oath as Delhi's chief minister on Saturday in the presence of a huge crowd of his supporters.

The ceremony is being be held at the Ramlila grounds, a sprawling public park in the national capital. Sitting arrangements were made for about 35,000-strong people to attend the oath-taking ceremony.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung will administer the oath of office to Kejriwal, who is reportedly running fever.

Everyone is invited. Kejriwal recited poetry in radio ads to invite Delhi’s aam aadmi (common man) for the auspicious event.

AAP also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, members of the Union Cabinet and opposition leaders like Ajay Maken and Kiran Bedi for the ceremony.

Around 3,000 security personnel have been deployed to monitor security arrangements at the venue. As many as 50 CCTV cameras and 12 LCD screens have also been added to the venue.

AAP swept the polls in Delhi by winning 67 of the total 70 seats.
