Srinagar/IBNS: Teaching is a noble profession and teachers create future contributors of the society. These words could be best understood from the life of a Kashmir teacher who is nurturing young minds at a time when the education system in the country is facing the Covid-19 challenge.

Due to COVID-19 lockdown, schools and other educational institutes have remained shut across India to prevent spread of the disease among children.

Online studying has become the new normal and yet there have been debates about the availability of internet and proper facilities for children across India to cope with the new system.

In such a scenario take the instance of Manzoor Ahmad Dar. The Kashmiri man from Baramulla district is teaching his students in the open while following social distancing norms and taking other precautions.

A resident of Charkut in Lolab valley, Dar is providing education to children of the Muslim Gujjar community, who are poor farmers, reports ANI.

The locals have appreciated the teacher for his initiative.
