Kashmir unrest: Mehbooba Mufti meets Rajnath Singh

New Delhi, Aug 8 (IBNS): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Monday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here.

She discussed the issue of Kahsmir unrest with him.

Kashmir has been witnessing violence since the death of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Burhan Wani during an encounter last month.

Reacting to the meeting, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and opposition National Conference leader Omar Abdullah tweeted: "So @MehboobaMufti has finally given up on her 'business as usual' act & rushed to Delhi instead."

"The amazing thing is that it's taken 31 days & more than 50 deaths to finally "disturb" the Chief Minister," he said.
