Kashmir Terrorism: JeM hideout busted in Pulwama forest, incriminating materials recovered

Srinagar/UNI: Security forces on Wednesday busted a Jash-e-Mohammad hideout and recovered incriminating material in the forest area in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.

A police official said that following specific information, a joint search operation was launched by police, 42 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF in Buchoo/Kamala forests area of Awantipora on Wednesday. “During the operation, security forces busted a militant hideout of proscribed outfit JeM,” he said.

He said police have recovered incriminating materials, including explosive materials from the hideout. “A case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Tral in this regard,” he said.

He said the incriminating materials recovered have been seized by the police and taken into case records for the purpose of investigation. “Officers from the local police station are investigating the matter,” he added.
