Kashmir sees violence on day of Burhan Wani's burial

Srinagar, Jul 9 (IBNS): Several places in Jammu and Kashmir, erupted in violence on Saturday as Hizbul commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani was buried in south Kashmir’s Tral town, according to media reports.
Mobs attacked police posts, security personnel and a BJP office in Kulgam, media reported.
 
Reportedly, 11 persons including three policemen have been injured during the clashes.  
 
At Kulgam, three people have been killed, two in firing by security forces and another drowned, reported NDTV.
 
Earlier, police imposed restrictions in Pulwama district and parts of Srinagar city, suspended mobile internet services in Kashmir Valley, and temporarily suspended Amarnath Yatra.
 
Top Hizb ul Mujhadeen militant Burhan Wani was killed in an encounter with security forces on Friday.
 
Authorities on Friday placed several Hurriyat leaders under house arrest to prevent them from leading rallies against the killing of Burhan Wani.
