Kashmir: Drug peddler held

Srinagar, Apr 27 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband substance in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, a police spokesman said on Saturday evening.

He said officers at the checkpoint near Galandar Pampore arrested a drug peddler identified as Mohammad Riyaz Gojar son of Abdul Hussain Gojar resident of Leera Rajouri.


Police has recovered 1.9 kg of Charas from his possession. Riyaz has been arrested, he said.


Police has registered a case FIR No 16/2019 under relevant sections of law and initiated investigation in the matter.
