Kashmir: 8 residential structures damaged in fire incident in Anantnag

Srinagar/UNI: At least eight residential structures were gutted in a massive fire incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Tuesday, officials said.

Fire and Emergency Services said that a fire broke out in a residential structure at Boat Colony Khanabal around 3 am and engulfed other structures, causing extensive damage to seven single-story and a double-story house.

Eight fire tenders were pressed into service from different stations in the district to douse the flames.

The incident did not result in any reported loss of life or injury to any individual.

The cause of the fire is being ascertained, they said.
