Kashi Vishwanath temple introduces dress code for foreign women

Varanasi, Nov 23 (IBNS) The Kashi Vishwanath temple administration here has launched a dress code for foreign women visiting it, reports said.

Women have to wear sari if they plan to visit the temple.

They will not be allowed to visit it by wearing revealing clothes or short dresses.

KVT's deputy chief executive officer PN Dwivedi told The Times of India: "During the commissioner's temple visit on Saturday some foreign women were found moving inside the temple in very short dresses after which it was discussed to initiate some measure to maintain decency inside the temple."

Varanasi is the constituency of Indian PM Narendra Modi.
