Kalaburagi, Sep 23 (UNI) Home minister of Karnataka Basavaraj Bommai on Monday strongly criticized the Congress president Sonia Gandhi's Tihar Jail visit to meet former finance minister P Chindambaram and questioned the morality behind this visit.

Addressing the mediapersons here, Mr Bommai said that meeting P Chidambaram in jail who is being investigated in a graft case related to INX media and is accused of enabling a huge infusion of foreign funds into the company is wrong in every way for president of a national party like Congress no matter if he was a party member.

This shows how Congress party works and what is their ideology, he added.

On asking about the Supreme Court judgement regarding the rebel Congress-JDS MLAs' plea,

On questioning about Centre Flood relief fund, Mr Bommai said the Centre has assured that a decision on providing assistance from the National Disaster Relief Fund (NDRF) will be taken after a central team, which is assessing the extent of damage in the state, submits its report in the next two-three days.

Replying to a question, he said in tomorrow's cabinet meeting there is no agenda regarding proposed new district Vijayanagar, carving out of Ballari district. He said the government is considering all prosand cons of carving new districts from Ballari and then take decision regarding the matter, he said.
