Thiruvananthapuram, June 14 (IBNS): Kerala Police on Sunday arrested four Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel in connection with the firing incident inside Karipur International Airport premises on June 10.
A case has been registered against CISF Sub-Inspector SS Choudhary, from whose firearm a bullet accidentally hit the jawan, leaving him dead.

The jawan was killed following a scuffle between security staff and Airport Authority of India officials on June 10.

The incident had also left two Airport Authority of India officials injured.

According to reports, the dispute had started when the CISF officer stopped an airport official at the VIP gate insisting for a body search.

The airport officials had grabbed the CISF personnel's gun which accidentally went off.

Following the incident, flights were diverted to Kochi. Around 400 passengers were left stranded at the airport.
