Justice A S Bopanna sworn-in as Gauhati High Court Chief Justice

Guwahati, Oct 29 (IBNS): Justice A S Bopanna was sworn in as the new Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court in Guwahati on Monday.

He was administered the oath by Assam Governor Prof Jagadish Ch Mukhi at the Raj Bhawan.

Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.

Born on May 20, 1959, Justice Bopanna was appointed as an Additional Judge of the High Court of Karnataka on January 6, 2006 and permanent judge on March 1, 2007.
