Hiruvananthapuram, Nov 9 (IBNS) : The judicial commission report on the solar scam has indicted former Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy along with his personal staff for helping Team Solar company in cheating their customers, media reports said.

The report was tabled by the Kerala Government in the state assembly on Thursday. A special session of the Assembly was convened for this purpose.

The report  states that the then home minister T Radhakrishnan “made all efforts to ensure that Oommen Chandy was extricated from criminal liability with help from police officer.”

The then Power minister Arayadan Mohammad too is mentioned in the report for his role in allegedly assisting the  solar company run by Saritha and her partner Biju Radhakrishnan.

On October 11, the Government had initiated a vigilance and Special Investigation Team probe against Chandy and his colleagues.

Chandy has also filed an RTI following the state government's announcement of a vigilance probe against him in the multi-crore solar panel scam.

He has also sought the inquiry panel's report, NDTV reported.

The scam centres on the alleged involvement of a fraudulent company that had collected money from people by leveraging its connections with top government officials.
