J&K govt announce winter vacations for schools

Srinagar, Nov 26 (IBNS): After hue and outcry from parents, Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday announced winter vacations for all schools in Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division.
According to Naeem Akther, Education Minister for state, the winter vacations of the government and private recognised schools of Kashmir Division and Winter Zones of Jammu Division would begin from Dec 7 for schools upto middle standard.
 
The vacations for the High and Higher Secondary Schools would start from Dec 21, he added.
 
Naeem Akhter said that on March 1 all educational institutions would reopen, next year.
