J&K: 3 militants killed in Pulwama district

Srinagar, Nov 20 (IBNS): At least three militants were killed by the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district on Thursday.
The incident took place near petrol filling station at Tral town, which is 40 kilometres away from Srinagar.
 
According to sources, militants, who were passing through the area, opened fire at station house officer (SHO)'s vehicles. 
 
As a result, the force retaliated resulting in the killing of three militants. 
 
However, some militants managed to escape from the spot.
 
Details about the death militants are yet to ascertained by the forces.
 
Following the attack, the area has been cordoned off.
 
The Army has also been asked to nab the rest of the militants who fled.
 
This comes as the state is gearing up for the five phase Assembly polls that starts Nov 25.
