Jharkhand: Miscreants decamp with SBI ATM in Mandu of Ramgarh

Ramgarh, May 5 (UNI) Unidentified miscreants uprooted an ATM of the SBI located on the NH-33 near 'Joda Talaab' under Mandu Police Station area of this district and later dumped the machine some distance away and fled with the cash.

Police said that early in the morning today the villagers saw the damaged ATM after which police was alerted. A police team which later reached the spot inquired into the incident.

During the investigation it emerged that the miscreants had also damaged the CCTV camera which was installed in the village.

Later the police managed to recover the empty ATM from Digwar bypass of Kuju OP. Police said that the bank manager has been asked to provide the details of the cash though on the other hand the villagers maintained that yesterday itself cash expected to be around Rs 10 lakh was deposited in the ATM.

Further probe was on.
