Jharkhand: Hemant Soren to take oath as CM on November 28

JMM executive president Hemant Soren on Sunday staked a claim to form the government in Jharkhand after his party-led INDIA alliance beat the Bharatiya Janata Party's NDA alliance in the crucial Assembly polls.

According to reports, Soren will take oath on November 28.

After submitting the Governor, Soren said: "I have met the Governor and submitted the support letter of alliance partners to him to ensure the formation of INDIA government."

Soren stormed to power for the second straight term in the state after his JMM-led INDIA alliance bagged 56 seats in the 81-member Assembly.

The majority mark in the state is 41.
