Jet Airways flight returns to Mumbai after take-off over falling cabin pressure

| @indiablooms | Sep 20, 2018, at 11:21 am

Mumbai, Sept 20 (IBNS): A Jet Airways flight had to turn back shortly after taking off from Mumbai on Thursday morning as the loss in cabin pressure led to serious health problems of some of the passengers, media reports said.

Some passengers felt dizzy while others suffered nose and ear-bleeding. Oxygen masks were also dropped down.

The flight was on its way to Jaipur.

Reports said the situation occurred as the cockpit crew forgot to select a switch which maintains the cabin pressure.

Expressing regrets in a statement, Jet Airways said the crew has been "taken off scheduled duties pending investigations", NDTV reported.

All the passengers were taken to airport terminal for first aid.

The airline said an alternate arrangement will be made for the passengers.
