Jesus Christ dedicated his life to service of others: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi, Apr 19 (UNI) On the occasion of Good Friday, Congress president Rahul Gandhi said Jesus Christ dedicated his life to the service of others and showed the path of humanity.

In a Facebook post, Gandhi said, 'Jesus Christ dedicated his life to the service of others and to overcome injustice, pain and suffering from society. Today, on Good Friday, we bow to 'Jesus' who showed the path of humanity.'

'Peace be with each & every one of you, this Good Friday,' the Congress president tweeted.

Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus and his death at Calvary. It is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday.
