JD(U) expels Prashant Kishor, Pavan Varma

Patna/IBNS: The Janata Dal (United) on Wednesday expelled election strategist Prashant Kishor and leader Pavan Varma, media reports said.

The move has been taken just a day after Kishor had publicly criticised Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and even called his recent stance on multiple issues a "fall" for him.

"@NitishKumar  what a fall for you to lie about how and why you made me join JDU!! Poor attempt on your part to try and make my colour same as yours! And if you are telling the truth who would believe that you still have courage not to listen to someone recommended by @AmitShah?" he tweeted.

Kishor's statement was in an apparent reference to Nitish Kumar's claim that he inducted Kishor into the JD(U) on the recommendation of the then BJP president Amit Shah, reported Times Now.

After his expulsion from the party, Kishor thanked Nitish Kumar.

The developments occurred at a time when the nation is gearing up to witness the crucial Delhi Assembly polls next month.
