Jammu and Kashmir: Two drug peddlers arrested in Baramulla

Baramulla/UNI: Two drug peddlers were arrested and brown sugar and poppy straw recovered in this north Kashmir.

A police spokesman said on Monday that a police party arrested a drug peddler identified as Arshed Ahmad Mangral, resident of Uri near a petrol pump at Sheeri on Srinagar-Baramulla highway. He said six grams were recovered from his possession.

He said another drug peddler identified as Zahoor Ahmad Lone, a local resident was arrested at Behrampur, Baramulla after one kg and 700 grams of poppy straw like substance were recovered from his possession.

He said FIRs have been registered and further investigation taken up in both the cases.
