Jammu/UNI: Security forces on Saturday carried out a search operation after suspected drone activity was reported in the bordering hamlet of Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir.

Police sources on Saturday said that suspected drone was reported hovering near border village Chadwal following which police and BSF troops were put on high alert.

"Soon after the sound was heard, troops sounded the alert as it was suspected to have been a drone," they said.

However, with the first light, police and BSF launched search operation in the area to rule out any drone dropping but nothing has been found so far, they said.
