Jammu and Kashmir: Security forces launch CASO in Pulwama

Srinagar, May 11 (UNI) Security forces on Saturday launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south Kashmir district of Pulwama, official sources said.

On a tip-off about the presence of militants, troops of Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a joint search operation on Saturday in village Panzgam, Pulwama.

After sealing all exit points, security forces launched searches in the village. So far, no contact was established with the militants.

The operation was on when the reports last came in, the sources said.
