Jammu and Kashmir: Ramban bus mishap kills 21

Srinagar, Oct 6 (IBNS): At least 21 people were killed as a  mini-bus fell into a 200-ft-deep gorge in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, reports said.

The incident left 15 others injured.

The mishap reportedly occurred after the driver of the vehicle lost control over it.

Politicians mourn loss of lives in mishap:

Former J&K CM Omar Abdullah tweeted: "Tragic news of the bus accident in Ramban earlier this morning with more than 15 deaths being reported along with numerous injuries. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased & prayers for the injured."

Ex-state CM Mehbooba Mufti also condoled the loss of lives in the tragedy and posted: "My heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families of those who lost their lives in a tragic accident today on the national highway. Hope the Jammu divisional administration is taking all the measures to provide medical aid to the injured ."
