Srinagar/UNI: A newly recruited militant was arrested in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday, officials said.

They said a joint party of Police, Army and CRPF conducted a search operation in Mirgund, Rajpora, Pulwama today during which they apprehended a militant identified as Sarwir Ahmed Mir.

"Two hand grenades were also recovered from his possession," a security official said.

21 year old Mir, a resident of Bathen Pulwama, went missing from his home recently and joined Laskhar-e-Toiba, he added.

Earlier, during the day another local militant of LeT was arrested in Anantnag.
