Jammu and Kashmir: Constable killed in highway road accident

Srinagar/UNI: A Head Constable (HC) of Jammu and Kashmir police was killed in a road accident on Srinagar-Jammu national highway on Friday, official sources said here.

A vehicle on way to Jammu skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge at Ratanbas, Banihal, on the highway.

The body identified as that of HC Mohammad Altaf Mir, a resident of Lolab in north Kashmir district of Kupwara was recovered, they said.

It was not immediately clear if any more person was also travelling in the vehicle.
