Jammu/UNI: Alert troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) on early Monday morning foiled an infiltration bid in Arnia sector of Jammu when they shot down one intruder.

According to BSF sources, the troops had noticed one man heading towards the fence from Pakistan side of the border near Bhule Chak Post in Arnia this morning.

"Several warnings were given to him but he came close to the fence and tried to sneak into the Indian territory," they added.

Subsequently, the troops shot down the intruder, the sources said.

"The body of the intruder is still lying close to the International Border," they said.

Last month as well, BSF shot down one woman intruder near Allah Mai Ke Kothe Border Outpost in Ranbir Singh Pura sector.

Amid dense fog in the plains of Jammu near border, the BSF troops are on alert to thwart all nefarious designs from across the border.
