Srinagar, Apr 1 (IBNS): At least 13 terrorists were killed during an encounter with security forces in Dragad village of Shopian in south Kashmir, officials said on Sunday.

Four civilians and three jawans were also killed in the attack, officials said.

Meanwhile, Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir,  SP Vaid confirmed that the encounter has ended.

"Encounter concluded. Two more terrorist bodies recovered from Shopian encounter site. In all 13 terrorists neutralised, three soldiers martyred and one terrorist caught alive. It’s unfortunate that stone pelting around encounter site cost four civilian deaths," Vaid tweeted.

He earlier said a top terrorist commander was among those killed in the gunfight.

The DG informed that one terrorist was been caught alive.
