Srinagar, Nov 25 (IBNS) Militant outfit Jaish-e-Muhammad has claimed responsibility for the attack on an army camp in Kupwara district's Tangdhar.
In a statement issued to the Srinagar-based news wire CNS, Jaish spokesperson Muhammad Hasan said three militants of the outfit stormed into the army camp early on Wednesday morning.

A senior Police official told IBNS on phone that three  to four heavily armed militants  opened fire and threw grenades on the camp taking position in Darshak forests adjacent to Kalsuri ridge. This resulted in a fierce exchange of fire 8 17 am.

A solider was killed and an army JCO injured in the gun battle.
