Jabalpur MP Rakesh Singh is appointed as the new BJP chief of Madhya Pradesh unit

Bhopal, Apr 18 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), on Wednesday, announced the appointment of Rakesh Singh as the next chief of Madhya Pradesh unit, according to media reports.

The MP from Jabalpur is also the party's chief whip in the Lok Sabha.

Incumbent Nandkumar Singh Chauhan has been named as a member to the National Executive. reports said.

Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections are scheduled for later this year.

State chief minister ShivrajSingh Chouhan congratulated Rakesh Singh and tweeted (in Hindi) that Singh's long experience in serving the people will be a big help for the party.
