Varanasi, Mar 8 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi felicitated five women members of the Self Help Groups(SHGs) under National Women Livelihood Meet on the occasion of the International Women Day on Friday.

However, to the Prime Minister's surprise, the Varanasi Airport was operated by women staff when Mr Modi’s plane landed at the airport.

The Prime Minister attended the National Women Livelihood Meet – 2019 at Deendayal Hastkala Sankul in Varanasi.

"Mata Ahilibai was instrumental in the construction of the present Kashi Vishwanath temple," the PM said, while wishing the women on the day.
