New Delhi, Apr 29 (IBNS): Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Wendesday attacked the Centre and Narendra Modi over the issue of agrarian crisis which the country is currently facing and asked the Prime Minister to visit Punjab to see the situation in the state.

Speaking in the Parliament, Gandhi said the Central government does not belong to the farmers and labourers of the country.

Gandhi said: "It is your government. It is our government. But it is not the government of farmers and labourers."

Attacking the PM, he said: "The PM which is now on an India tour now, should go to the mandis and see ground situation there."

Gandhi visited Punjab on Tuesday where he went to the  grain markets and interacted with farmers and labourers in the state.

"Yesterday,I went to Punjab and met the farmers and mazdoors in the Mandis there...The farmers are crying there, there in distress, But Haryana Agri Minister says those who commit suicide are cowards," Gandhi said.

"The farmers also participate in the 'Make in India'," Gandhi said in the House.

Gandhi has been regularly pointing put issues on the floor of the House since the second half of the Budget Session of the Parliament commenced on Apr 20.
