New Delhi/IBNS: Four men from Kargil have been arrested by Delhi Police's special cell in connection with a blast outside Israel Embassy in January last.

Security forces have found evidence pointing at their involvement in the blast, said an NDTV report.

Those arrested have been identified as Nazir Hussain, Zulfikar Ali Wazir, Aiaz Hussain and Muzammil Hussain; all belong to Kargil's Thang village, said Delhi Police spokesperson Chinmaya Biswal, said the report.

They have been brought to Delhi on transit remand and are currently being interrogated in the national capital.

They were arrested under an open FIR after evidence linking them to the blast was found, the report said.

The location of the accused at the time of the blast was in Delhi and their mobile phones were switched off, according to sources, the report added.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), which is probing the high profile case, released CCTV footage that showed two men near the Israel Embassy on the day of the blast.

The explosion occurred on the day India and Israel were celebrating 29 years of diplomatic ties.

A low-intensity IED (Improvised Explosive Device) exploded near the embassy located on APJ Abdul Kalam Road in central Delhi.

No casualties or damage were reported except the window panes of three vehicles parked nearby were shattered.

Central government had described the incident as a terror act and handed over the investigation to the anti-terror agency.
