Lucknow, Mar 8 (IBNS) : A ISIS flag, a local time table and a huge cache of arms and ammunition were among other things found along with the body of the terror suspect, who was found dead early on Wednesday after a 12-hour operation by security forces on the outskirts of Lucknow, NDTV reported.

According to reports, besides the flag, eight pistols, 650 rounds of ammunition, 50 fired rounds, explosives, gold, cash, passports, SIM cards and a train time table were found.

The terror suspect, identified as Saifulla, is believed to be a part of  group hatching plans for major terror attacks in Uttar Pradesh .

Anti terror squad personnel found his body from a house after blowing away a wall of the building  in Thakurganj around 3 am.

The police said he was an active member of the terror group ISIS and was believed to be involved in a train blast in neighbouring Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.

Reports said the terrorist used "chilli bombs" against the cops engaged in the operation in which some 20-odd commandos were active.

Senior police official Daljit Chaudhary earlier told media: "Had received inputs about presence of some suspects in Kanpur and Lucknow."

He said one person was arrested from Kanpur.

The incident occurred at a time when Uttar Pradesh is gearing up to vote in the last phase of polling on Wednesday.

The result is scheduled to be announced on Mar 11.
