New Delhi/IBNS: The Supreme Court on Wednesday granted bail to former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram who was arrested in connection with the INX Media case.

Chidambaram was first arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Aug 21 for allegedly committing corruption by facilitating a huge flow of foreign funds to INX media when he was the Finance Minister.

Though he was granted bail by the Supreme Court on Oct 22, Chidambaram was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with the same case on 16th of the same month.

He was in Tihar jail for over 100 days.

Chidambaram has been granted bail with conditions like he will have to surrender his passport and can't tamper with evidences.

In its first reaction to the judgement, the Congress has put up a tweet saying, "Truth finally prevails."
