| @indiablooms | Apr 08, 2019, at 08:57 pm

Guwahati, April 8 (IBNS): To prevent any untoward incident during the Lok Sabha election in Manipur, 43 Assam Rifles has sealed the Indo-Myanmar border from Border pillar 74 to 81.

Public movement between both nations is allowed only at Indo-Myanmar Friendship Gate No. 1 and 2 after proper documentation as well as after thoroughly checked by the security personnel.

The Indo-Myanmar border along the Moreh town in Manipur does not have proper fencing so the security personnel of 43 Assam Rifles will become the Wall Fencing at the borders.

The sealing of border began on Monday morning and will continue till any further order comes from higher authorities.

On the other hand, Indo-Myanmar border from BP 66 to 73 and BP 81 to its occupying areas have been also sealed.
