Indian President, PM supports Team India

New Delhi, Mar 26 (IBNS): Indian President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday supported the India team after the side suffered a massive 95 runs defeat at the hands of Australia in the semi-final of the World Cup.

Hailing the team for their efforts, Mukherjee stated: "Well played Team India, better luck for the next World Cup; Congratulations Australia on an excellent game!"

Narendra Modi also said he is proud of the team which played weel throughout the tournament.

"Victory & defeat are a part of life. Team India played great cricket throughout the tournament. We are proud of them," Modi tweeted.

Australia defeated India to reach the final of the World Cup where they will meet co-hosts of the tournament New Zealand.
