Indian PM Narendra Modi remembers APJ Abdul Kalam on birth anniversary

New Delhi: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday remembered former President APJ Abdul Kalam on his birth anniversary.

" India salutes Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Ji on his Jayanti," he tweeted.

APJ Abdul Kalam, who was known as the Missile Man of India, played pivotal roles in INCOSPAR, ISRO, DRDO & the missile program from 1960 to 1999.

He served as the 11th President & was awarded the Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan.

He died on July 27, 2015.
