Indian PM Narendra Modi congratulates Indonesian President Joko Widodo for successfully hosting Asian Games

New Delhi, Sept 2 (IBNS): Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated Indonesian President Joko Widodo as his nation successfully hosted the Asian Games.

"Congratulations to President @jokowi and the people of Indonesia for hosting such a memorable #AsianGames2018. These games witnessed great performances by the athletes and wonderfully manifested the spirit of sportsmanship," Modi tweeted.

Asian Games concluded on Sunday.

The tournament witnessed a strong performance by Indian athletes.

In this edition of the tournament, India clinched 15 golds, 24 silvers and 30 bronze medals.
