Indian envoy to Sri Lanka attends launch of Ramayana Trail Project

The Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, recently attended the launch of the  Ramayana Trail Project in Colombo.

The project was endorsed by  Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj.

During the event, Jha said  Ramayana Trail Project will further the civilisational connect between India and Sri Lanka.

The National Security Advisor to Sri Lankan President Sagala Ratnayaka, former Sri Lankan cricketer and skipper Sanath Jayasuriya were among the dignitaries who attended the event.

The Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka posted on X: "May the #RamayanaTrail flourish as friendship flourishes today!"

"High Commissioner@santjha joined the inauguration event of #RamayanaTrail Project in endorsed by Swami Govind Dev Giri Maharaj, along with NSA @SagalaRatnayaka , cricket icon@Sanath07 & other dignitaries," it said.
