Guwahati/IBNS:  The Indian Army has been constantly working with the local administration of Arunachal Pradesh to promote education and development in the border areas.

In continuation of such efforts, the Indian Army presented school bags and water bottles to the students from the Hayuliang village of Anjaw District in Arunachal Pradesh on Nov 27.

These activities are being undertaken by the Army as a part of Project Samaritan.

Under this project, 201 children from economically weaker families studying in local government schools were benefited.

The gesture has encouraged the children to continue their studies and dream of a brighter future.

Civil dignitaries and local population appreciated the efforts of the Indian Army towards promoting education in the region.
