Indian Airforce saves life with casualty evacuation after Chhattisgarh bus mishap
New Delhi, May 5 (IBNS) After a major bus accident on the midnight of May 4 in a place located about 200 km north of Raipur (Chhattisgarh), the Indian Airforce helicopter carried out a casualty evacuation saving several lives.
IAF said request for casualty evacuation was received and Indian Air Force responded promptly wherein two Mi-17 helicopters were launched within an hour to evacuate critically injured passengers from the accident site.
The Advanced Landing Ground at Ambikapur was used for this purpose. Thirteen critically injured passengers were evacuated to Raipur.
