India registers 1,17,100 fresh COVID-19 cases, 302 deaths in past 24 hours

New Delhi: India, a nation which is yet again witnessing a spike in COVID-9 cases, registered 1,17,100 cases in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Friday.During the same period, country's overall Omicron tally touched 3007.

 

Maharashtra topped the chart with 876 detected Omicron cases. Delhi (465) and Karnataka (333) remained next in the list.

In the past 24 hours, 302 people lost their lives due to the deadly virus.

India's active caseload currently stands at 3,71,363.

Active cases account for less than 1 percent of total cases, currently at 1.05 percent.

Recovery Rate currently stands at 97.57 percent.

30,836 recoveries were registered in the last 24 hours. Daily positivity rate  now stands at 7.74 percent.
