India-Pakistan exchange fire at LOC in Jammu

Srinagar, Nov 19 (IBNS): India and Pakistan on Saturday exchanged heavy fire and shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

As per initial details, shelling started in Kalsian and some other areas of Nowshera sector at about 10 am.

India and Pakistan have been exchanging fire and shelling along the LoC and International border since past more than two months after tensions over civilian killings in Kashmir and an attack on an army base that left 19 soldiers dead.

Meanwhile, Army officer in Jammu said one army jawan of 8 regiment was injured in cross border firing.

He further said injured was shifted to near by army hospital for treatment.
