India is the fastest growing start up nation in world: Sundar Pichai

San Jose, Sept 27 (IBNS): India-born Google CEO Sundar Pichai has said India is the "fastest growing start up nation in the world."
Speaking at the Digital India event at Silicon Valley in San Jose in US, Pichai said: "He (PM Narendra Modi) has accelerated India's efforts to become the hotbed of innovation. More importantly, he knows that technology is the enabler that drives massive change, the kind that India need." 
 
Narendra Modi was also present at the stage when Pichai addressed the event.
 
Pichai said, "Google is proud of what's happening in India. We want to play a part in digital India." 
 
At the same event, PM Modi also announced that Google will provide free WiFi at 500 Indian railway stations.
