India and Singapore have been together at many crossroads of time: Modi

Singapore, Nov 23 (IBNS):Delivering 37th Singapore Lecture on 'India's Singapore Story' on Monday, Indian Prime Ministr Narendra Modi said both the Asian nations have been together at many crossroads of time.

"India and Singapore have been together at many crossroads of time," Modi said.

Speaking further on Singapore, Modi said: "Singapore teaches us many things..The size of a nation is no barrier to the scale of its achievements."

He said his government has engaged with the region more than any other country in the world.

"In the course of last eighteen months, my government has engaged more with this region than any other in the world," Modi said.

Modi said terrorism can derail the economy of a nation.

"Terrorism does not just take a toll of lives, but can derail economies,"Modi said.

Ending his Malaysia visit, Modi reached Singapore on Monday.
