Jammu: The troops of BSF and Pak Rangers on Monday exchanged sweets along the International Border in Jammu on the occasion of 76th Independence Day.

"On the occasion of Independence Day, BSF and Pak Rangers exchanged sweets at various Border Outposts under Jammu Frontier in a very cordial atmosphere," said an official.

He said that BSF Jammu offered the sweets to Pak Rangers and they also reciprocated.

The exchange of sweets was done all along the BoPs in Samba, Kathua, R S Pura and Akhnoor border.

He said the Border Security Force has always been on the forefront in creating a peaceful and congenial atmosphere on border while dominating the border effectively.

Such gestures help build a peaceful atmosphere and cordial relationship on border between both border guarding forces, said an official.
