Srinagar/UNI: Chairman of Democratic Azad Party Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday said if voted to power, the land and job rights of peoples of Jammu and Kashmir shall be restored and protected.

He said this during a public rally in border Uri town in the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir

In his address, Azad spoke about the overall upliftment of the downtrodden and promised fair and equal development and participation of Gujjar, Bakerwal and Pahari communities.

He recalled the days when Uri was devastated by the earthquake in 2005 and said it was his personal efforts that brought comfort to the residents of the entire region.

Azad promised to take all his dream projects to their logical conclusion if elected to power.

“I am sure that if we are voted to power, our land and job rights shall be restored and protected. The honour and dignity of each one of us will be ensured," said Azad.
