IAF’s aircraft cashes in Assam’s Tezpur, pilots safe

Guwahati, Aug 8 (IBNS): An aircraft of Indian Air Force has crashed in Assam’s Sonitpur district on Thursday evening.

The aircraft crashed at a paddy field at Milanpur area near Tezpur at around 8 pm.

The aircraft was Sukhoi-30 and was on a routine training mission from Tezpur as it crashed in the local flying area.

There is no report of any casualty and both pilots were ejected safely from the aircraft and have been rescued.

Three fire tenders have been rushed to the spot to bring the fire under control.

More details awaited.
