Patna, Sep 25 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reiterated that he does not aspire to become the Prime Minister of the country and was busy in uniting opposition parties.

After paying homage to Late Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay on the occasion of his birth anniversary Kumar told news persons here on Monday that he was not at all interested to become Prime Minister.

To a query about JDU leader Maheshwar Hazari describing him as Prime Minister material, the Chief Minister said that he was busy in uniting the opposition parties and do not wish to become the Prime Minister.

When asked about his inclination towards the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), Nitish expressed ignorance saying that it is nonsense.

Replying about the next meeting of I.N.D.I.A. alliance and its future strategies, he said that committees have been constituted and the meetings were being conducted regularly.

The Chief Minister said he was sharing his valuable suggestions to the committees and the future aspects would be finalised.

Speaking about the schedule for publishing caste based survey, Kumar said that it would be done once it is completed.

When asked about the BJP leaders not attending the official function organised to pay tribute to Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, Nitish without taking the name of the saffron party leaders said that earlier they were with him but today they have not joined this programme the reason for which is better known to them.

He said that everyone attends the programme already fixed by the government to observe the anniversary of Pandit Dindayal Upadhyay and added that he respect and work for everyone.

Replying to the query regarding the scheduled arrival of BJP Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi at the venue after he departed from the programme, the Chief Minister questioned the reason and raised objection for not attending the programme on time.

Kumar said he has nothing to do with all these issues and let others do what they wish. The Chief Minister further said he would continue to strive for development of the state.

He also reiterated that he was in favour of the scribes.
